Little bit about me!
Hi! My name can be tricky to pronounce, unless you’re Czech, like me, so just call me Katya.
I’m not just a wedding photographer; I’m a storyteller, capturing people, places, and moments in all their authentic beauty. My love for wedding photography started long before I photographed my first one in 2018. My mum must have been one of the first in Czechia to own a videocamera in the 90s. Total geek! She spent weekends filming weddings, and I’d sneak next to the computer, munching on leftover wedding cake and sweets, completely mesmerized by all the pretty brides. That’s where my passion for weddings began!
Now, I’m based near Morzine, France, and I take bookings for weddings in Czechia, France, and Germany as well as Italy. Whether it’s the quiet intimacy of a documentary moment or the joy of a wedding celebration, I’m here to tell your story with heart and honesty.
Fun facts about me:
- I’m still working on my French (wish me luck!).
- I dream of sailing to Martinique one day, despite my occasionally terrible seasickness!
- My English has a Scottish twist, which makes conversations… interesting. Ask me about what not to miss when traveling Scotland!
- My music taste is questionable, so keep me away from DJs unless you’re ready for quirky remixes of Down Under, Barbra Streisand, or Rasputin.
